The girls of Troop #7 had a great cooking session this weekend. Working together with scouts from Troop #51, our scouts had a great time cooking and learning. The Troop #7 scouts prepared some awesome dishes: 2-Bean Chili, Orange cakes, Peach Cobbler, Pineapple Upside Cake, and Cheese Quesadillas. In addition to great food, our scouts learned many different types of cooking methods and heat sources: open fire, dutch oven, backpaking stoves, and traditional camp stove cooking. We learned how to eat well both at camp and on the open trail and between cooking and hiking, this MB will go down as an great experience. Troop #7 is looking forward to many more exciting outdoor adventures.
